South Alabama Gas pays the total premium for health/dental coverage.

* Vacation/Annual Leave:

* Sick Pay: Accrue 8 hours per month/Maximum of 240 hours
* Holidays: 10 Days
In addition, South Alabama Gas has provisions for bereavement leave, jury duty leave, military leave, and family and medical leave.
Disability (Long Term and Short Term Disability)
If you become disabled because of sickness or accident and are unable to work on a short-term basis, you are eligible to receive 66.67 percent of your regular weekly earnings up to a maximum of $200.00 per week. South Alabama Gas pays the total premium per month which includes a life insurance policy.
If you become disabled because of sickness or accident and are unable to work on a long-term basis, you are eligible to receive 60 percent of your basic monthly earnings up to a maximum of $5,000 monthly. South Alabama Gas pays the total premium.
South Alabama Gas pays the premium for a $20,000 life insurance policy. An employee can elect to purchase additional coverage.
South Alabama Gas is a member of the Retirements Systems of Alabama. A percentage of your 5 percent contribution is matched by South Alabama Gas.
All employees can elect to purchase additional life insurance with Lincoln and also additional insurance coverage with AFLAC (Cafeteria Plan).
